Looks exactly like Mallinckrodt's 8mg hydromorphone pill....except it's not. Possibly a fake? I was informed this is a kind of heart medication but could find no such information online even searching through the manufacturer site. I did find, however several instances in where the actual manufacturer had made similar mistakes in the past i.e. placing a percentage of incorrect medication into a shipment. Please respond if you definitely know what this could be. If your answer is dilauded please do not respond.

When we're just going off a description alone, there's no way for anyone to provide you with a "definite" answer (because counterfeits can look the same as the real thing). However if you didn't fill a prescription at a licensed drug store and it looks identical to Mallinckrodt's 8mg hydromorphone pill, I agree that it could very well be counterfeit... There are other white triangular pills that look similar to what you described, but nothing else could be considered identical in my findings. Have you tried taking it into a local pharmacist for their opinion as well?
