If I get prescribed the sublingual film could I ask the pharmacy to dispense the generic tablets

No Nate. They won't switch out. Subutex is a completely different script.

@nate,

It probably wouldn't hurt to ask, but if I'm not mistaken, your doctor may have to be the one to make that request prior to writing your 'next' prescription.

Usually the pharmacy will only give you what they have on the shelf at that time unless your doctor makes a point of notifying them on the script that you want a specific form of the medication.

Do the sublingual films not work as well for you?
