Hi Kari,
From what I could gather, a white square pill with a capital "A" on one side and nothing on the back, is identified as an Altoid Sugar Free Mint - Thought to be Peppermint or Wintergreen flavor.
If you were to run a search on google images for "white square pill A", there also happen to be a few photographs floating around for additional verification. Other than that, I don't have any reason to believe it may be something else, especially since you said it has a minty taste.
