White Round Pill Mx33

My pharmacist changed my rx to this when I picked it up a few weeks ago. I just looked up the numbers MX33 tonight. I thought I have been going crazy. 100% NOT effective. As if I was not on one at all. Crying, thinking crazy thoughts. I thought it was hormones. Unbelievable. I almost quit my job of 8 years today. I just read several webpages of people saying this exact thing. I called my pharmacist. I am pretty angry.

Hello, Ann! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you're experiencing.

This tablet is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 40mgs of Citalopram, which the FDA classifies as an SSRI antidepressant. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain.

To avoid this problem in the future, you may want to speak to your doctor about prescribing it as your needing the name brand.

Has anyone else experienced this with this tablet?

I too have had the same reaction. I had the brain zaps (a sign of discontinuation) even though I was taking the medicine as usual. I had very serious side effects including extreme depression, suicidal thoughts and exhaustion. I have never had this problem when taking other formulations of this medication, which I have been on for 20 years.
