White Pill Scored P A N 16

I HAVE A WHITE LARGE OBLONG PILL ROUNDED AT BOTH ENDS THE SHAPE OF A MOTRIN, SCORED IN THE MIDDLE. ONE SIDE IS BLANK. THE OTHER HAS PAN 16 ON IT. IT WAS GIVEN TO ME FROM A FRIEND AFTER MY HAND SURGERY BUT I NEVER TOOK IT BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS. CAN ANY ONE TELL ME?

Is the marking possibly AN 15?

If so, then this is Panadeine Extra, it contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 15mgs of Codeine. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Medications such as this with the higher amounts of Acetaminophen (Paracetamol) in them are no longer available in the U.S.
