A prescription from 2008 is most probably out of date. I take this medication every day for a chronic condition and would never take a pill that old, even if I had significant pain. Call your local pharmacist for more info.

I have been told to not take pain meds over one year old, however I was told by a pharmacist that it would be ok, however I just don't think I personally would risk taking anything more than the expiration date if more than a year old. Just my opinion.
