White Pill Az 345??

I think it is a generic form of Mucinex DM... i.e. guaifinesin and a cough suppressant.

Hi Lisa,

Just to let you know, the white pill you're describing marked AZ 345 is in fact identified as a Mucus Relief DM tablet, containing Dextromethorphan HBr (20 mg) + Guaifenesin (400 mg).

This medicine is widely used as an expectorant and cough suppressant. Apparently it works in several ways, by thinning the viscosity of mucus, stimulating the flow of respiratory tract secretions, and also by decreasing activity in a part of the brain that causes coughing.
