Why are they discontinuing the white Watson Hydrocodone Watson now ?

Hi, Harvey! Who told you it was being discontinued?

Is it one that contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen or more?

If so, that may be the reason. The FDA has requested that all manufacturers lower the amount of Acetaminophen in these combination medications to no more than 325mgs per dose, due to the danger of liver damage that can occur with long term use and the liver failure that can occur with overdosage.

Some companies are already implementing the change and the rest are scheduled to have it completely by January of 2014.

I've taken Watson yellow Norco 10/325 for years. Then the pharmacy started giving me Watson white Norco 10/325. I think the yellow is better. Now they switched to Amneal white Norco 10/325. I think they are even weaker ? Am I imagining this ?

No, you are not imagining it. I think Watson is cheating on their formulations since being purchased by another company. Also the white Norcos are less effective than the yellows, although they claim they just took the dye out bcz of allergic reactions. It's all b.s. Bcz they make pain patients out to be drug-seeking addicts rather than human beings in need of pain relief in order to function in society.
