Which Pills Can Not Be Mixed Together

Mam on Morphine 60mgs with Prednisolone 5mgs - doctor wishes to give her this, but not sure whether to agree or not. She is 78 with chronic back pain, had double fusion, now no cartridge between bones of bone, finds constant pain very tiring, pain wakes her at night, also suffers with diverticulosis due to using Panadol and Tramadone for many years prior to be ing put on morpine. Need advice - will it work, will it hurt. (mam asked me to find out for her as I have a computer)

The Prednisolone is a steroid that's intended to reduce the inflammation and swelling that's causing her pain. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, acne and insomnia.

Morphine is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

If she wishes to get control of her pain, it would be best to follow her doctor's instructions and try the medications to see if they work for her.
