These are actually equivalent. So, neither is really stronger, it just depends which works better for you.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Vicodine IS Hydrocodone. Hydrocodone is the name of opiate found in many different types of pain meds. Same as Oxycodone is the type of opiate found in percocets, tylox, roxicets, etc. Lortab, vicodine, hydrocodone, and many others are same just different names. It's the mg and the other stuff in pain pills that is what's important.

Obviously percocet is stronger than vicodin....but the outcome of taking percocet on a constant basis is very dangerous...People tend to become hooked on percocet....It's way safer to just take a non narcotic for your pain...Which is easier said than done when someone is in chronic pain....Good luck to everyone.

Percocet and vicodin are the same as far as strength wise. Many doctors will tell you percocet is stronger, but it's not. It's the same as the difference between acetomenaphin and ibuprofen. One usually works better than the other on different individuals.
I've had this same discussion with my pain management doctor, and he and I agree.
