Where Did These Nodes Come From?

I starting feeling nodes in my neck area. What causes this? I've never felt these before. Would amoxicillin help?

Hello, Abe! How are you?

Usually, when the nodes are swollen and noticeable it is due to your body fighting off some type of infection or illness.

In most cases, no treatment is necessary, because they are doing what they are supposed to and will return to normal, once the lines passes.

An antibiotic isn't recommended, unless your doctor prescribes it, because the illness could be viral, in which case an antibiotic will not help.

The FDA lists the side effects of antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
