When Is The Best Time Of Day To Take Losartan

I am taking Losartan 100 mg and also Losartan/HCTZ 100-12.5 mg. Is this safe? Should I take them at the same time of day? I am having a problem with my kidneys. Could this be the reason?

Did you doctor provide you with any special instructions?

It might be easier to split them up, taking one in the morning and one night. Many people prefer to take a medication with HCTZ in the morning, since it can cause increased urination as a side effect, according to the FDA, and they don't want their slumber disrupted.

You should, of course, always follow your doctor's instructions, though.

Yes, the one with the HTCZ could be affect your kidneys. Has your doctor done a blood panel to check? Are you making sure not to become dehydrated?
