Benazapril with HCTZ contains 2 active ingredients, Benazepril, and Hydrochlorothiazide.
The other one you listed only contains Benazepril, the HCL just designates the specific chemical salt that it is derived from, which in this case is a Hydrochloride salt. Thus, you should take the one your doctor has instructed you to take.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.
Is there anything else I can help with?
