Hello, Danny! How are you?

There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to another, because they are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984. Thus, if you were taking one that might have been slightly higher and then the new one is a little low, it may not work as well for you.

However, since the difference are slight, your body may adjust in about a week or so. If you continue to have problems, you should speak to your doctor.

The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Is there anything else I can help with?
