No I haven't been seen by a Dr. Due to lack of insurance, however I am experiencing painful symptoms and swelling resembling an abscess inside my gum just above my teeth. Plus one of the teeth affected has a moderately progressive crater (cavity) resulting in my not being able to eat. This is lasting the duration of my sinusitis = + 1 1/2 months. I have an almost full bottle of this RX and plan to take it till its gone, hence my previous inquiry RE: that medication. Thank you very much for your aid and concern for my well being. Misty

You're very welcome, Misty! I hope you get this cleared up, dental infections are miserable.

However, I do want to caution you that you need to see a dentist, as soon as you can. The antibiotic may help with the infection, but it will not fix that cary or any other issue that's caused the infection, so that will need to be remedied, or the infection will keep returning, in the future.

The swelling is refeeding but I think I've developed an abscess on my root under the gum, that really does hurt. I'm trying to eat more food so I'm not as weak as before. All in all I'm starting to feel better but I tell you this infection had really wiped me out, energy level is still pretty low. Thanks again for your concern...Misty...

You're very welcome! I've been there, bad teeth run in my family and I had problems with them no matter how much I tried to take care of them and regardless of how often I saw a dentist.

Try some softer foods, that you don't have to chew so much, like puddings and soups. You may also want to speak to your doctor about drinking Ensure, since it can help add back a lot of nutrients, it can be very beneficial, if you aren't eating properly.
