What Medication Should I Switch To?

I have been on oxycodone 30mg 6x a day for several years now and my tolerance has built up considerably high. I am considering changing to dilaudid 8mg 6x a day with 15mg of oxy 2x a day for breakthrough but im wondering if there Is a better alternative? I tried fentanyl patches and those didn't work worth a damn. ER tablets don't digest well for me. Please send me some suggestions I don't know what to go to

Why don't you try another time released medication, such as Oxycontin, which is the time release Oxycodone or Ms Contin, which is the time released Morphine?

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Time released ones often provide better pain control.
