What Mean Of Antipsychotic Drug

My daughter is 47 and 3 years ago she had 2 strokes from complications after a major vascular surgery. The MRI done at the time also revealed she had already had 2 strokes before surgery.
Her personality has changed so much from the strokes. She is very ill tempered, mean and hateful. It's affecting her entire family. She is aware of the change and will apologize, but very seldom.
A clinical psychologist suggested the drug Respitrol. Maybe I got the spelling wrong, but from what I read, this is mainly for asthma.
Should she see a neurologist or a mental health doctor?

Thank you.

Lou

Hello, Lou! How are you?

Is it possible that the doctor meant Risperdal?

It is an antipsychotic that is used to treat various mental health issues. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, somnolence, and weight changes.
