Trimebutina contains the active ingredient Miopropan, this is used to treat conditions such as IBS and to prevent constipation and diarrhea after bowel sugery.

Side effects can include: nausea, dizziness, headache and dyspepsia

Does this medicine trimebutina help with constipation or does it just prevented it due to ibs-c? And what dosage should I ask for and how often should it be taken for a adult female 155lbs age 50 thank you!!

I was in Mexico, stopped by a pharmacy ask for a medication that would help with bloating adominal pain. I was given "Espabion" trimebutina 200mg. I was told to take a pill before each meal( assuming 3x a day).

I was diagnosed with Colitis in 2014 and Trimebutina was prescribed for bloating, GAS, pains and diarrhea. (I live in Mexico). 100 mg every 12 hrs. It helped. Also discovered lactose/gluten intolerance. Now, one year later I take Trimebutina only occasionally, it does not exhaust me so much anymore, but it seems, and I say seems to cause hot flashes, (I am well past menopause, 71 yrs old), and strange pains and heaviness in my legs, where I can hardly walk. It had been suggested that this leg weakness was related to my age, but my legs have always been extremely strong, so I don't believe it. This "leg-problem" comes and goes and seems to be related to the times when I have intestinal problems and take Trimebutina for several days. I would be interested to hear from anyone with a similar problem since I have found nothing on the web in this regard.

Similar problem, similar age, also live in Mx. I have leg, more specifically thigh pain. I have not yet taken said med. What helps: a bannana a day stops the cramps. The leg pain: Reductive Gell by El Sanador or ArnicaDOL Gel cheap at Waldos. I don't like the intensive smelling stuff or heavy camphor. It works anyway without that stuff. Please post your results. I want to know.

Well I took 1pill of trimebutina 200mg because the constipation , plus one cup with 2 tablespoons of grains flax seed , and this morning I whent to the bathroom and I have a pleasant relief
