Hello, Ceejay! How are you? What condition is being treated? If it is a genital bacterial infection, or STI, then intercourse should be avoided, until the course of treatment is finished and the relevant bacteria have been eradicated.

The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, and flatulence.
