Benzphetamine is usually prescribed along with diet and exercise to help aid in weight loss. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness and anorexia.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure what else is available for you to try. Have you spoken to your doctor about it?
