What Is Bactrim Made Of

Recently, I suffered a severe allergic reaction to Bactrim DS, with itchy hives and welts all over my entire body not to mention I have bone cancer.
I'm trying to find out what Bactrim is made from to protect myself from possible allergic reactions to any certain plant?tree?etc...what is Bactrim derived from? Mold?Grass? Or?????

I understand your concern, but a medication is a fully refined form of whatever natural substance it is composed of, so you can't match the allergies that way.

For example, I am highly allergic to mold, but I can take most antibiotics without a problem, though many are derived from molds.

You are most likely just allergic to the Sulfamethoxazole in it, I experienced a similar problem several years ago, when I took. About 3% of the population are allergic to sulfa drugs, such as this. Other allergic reactions symptoms, as listed by the FDA, may include swollen/painful glands, body swelling and trouble breathing.

Are you on any other medications?
