Hi alton,

Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It does NOT contain any Penicillin, nor is it related to Penicillin. Azithromycin is actually a derivative of Erythromycin, so as long as you aren't allergic to Erythromycin as well, it seems to me that you shouldn't have any problems.
