Hi , my question is about Percocet in 15 mg form. I have chronic neck and back pain and have been taking Oxycodone for 10 years now. My pain management doctor started me out at 5mgs and then about 4 years ago changed the dose to 10/325. I also have tremendous stomach pain from several stomach surgeries. Could the Percocet @15 mg be easier on my stomach than the 10/325 strength? And how badly are these medications for my liver? I will be on pain meds for the rest of my life and need to know what is the lesser of two evils? Thank you in advance for any help with this matter.

In regards to the first posts, yes they are the same, the only active ingredient in those cases is Oxycodone, only the mentioned dosage is different.

And in regards to the last post, the problem with Percocet in relation to the concerns that were expressed is that it contains both Oxycodone and Acetaminophen.

The Acetaminophen is the aspect that may cause problems with stomach pain and liver damage or failure, if someone is on it for a long period of time.

Thus, it is likely better to stick with a medication that solely contains a narcotic and not anything else.
