What In The World A333
UpdatedI have been taking percocet 10/325 for years for a severe pain that is constant and over the years received several different shapes as well as colors for this medication.
I just got a scrip filled (3 hours ago) and took one of this pills upon arriving home and I do not feel ANY pain relief. I was wondering if it was just me or if this med takes longer to work?? The pills have A333 on them and after looking them up online I now have a better understanding of what I was given. How can a company actually manage to release a med like this? I know that we all are trying to cut costs but my goodness this is really not the way to do it as far as I am concerned. I also feel kinda sick to my stomach and was wondering what in the world is in these pills. I cannot find the contents (fillers maybe) anywhere. Can anyone tell me what is in these pills? By the way most of my pain is still there.

Hi hello,
Sorry to hear about how you're feeling on these A333 pills. I don't blame you though for your frustration, as the reduction in quality from preceding formulas seems like a pretty volatile thing for any drug company to offer to the very patients keeping them in business.
As far as inactive ingredients are concerned, Actavis lists the following to be in this A333 pill:
Croscarmellos sodium
Microcrystalline cellulose
Povidone
Pregelatinized corn starch
Silicon dioxide
Stearic acid
Now from my research, it's come my understanding that many of these binders/fillers actually impact the tablet's overall bioavailability and therefore its effectiveness in comparison to other manufacturer's brands/generics containing a different set of ingredients. I haven't been able to single out the specific ingredient that's attributing to this inconsistency, but there's no doubt in my mind that something fishy is going on with how they're processing them. I mean why else would it not offer any pain relief even though it lists the same dosage/strength as others which have proven their effectiveness?
