What If I Take A Double Dose Of Eliquis?

I may have accidently taken a double dose of eliquis early this morning. I am suppose to take one 5 mg twice a day. Usually at nine and nine. I think I could have taken two pills in am. Should I leave off my night pill even if I'm not sure.

If anyone accidentally took more than prescribed, I would encourage you all to contact your prescribing doctors. It may turn out that you'll be fine, but he/she may recommended some minor adjustments in your dosing or frequency of administration in order to compensate for this extra dose (not to mention that the prescription will run out a day early - even more of a reason to notify your doctor).

Also if you notice any unusual or bothersome side effects as a result of this mishap, please don't hesitate to call poison control just to be on the safe side, because you never know.

To those who are asking if they should continue with their next scheduled dose, I think that will largely depend upon how close your last (double) dose was to this next interval in your dosing regimen. Obviously if it was taken too close together, you'd probably want to start a new regimen to balance things out; but working closely with your doctor should alleviate this concern.

I usually take eliquis at 1130am in the morning and 1130 at night I forgot to take the 1130 dose at night I took it at 600 am this morning what should I do should I wait unti tonight to take the next dose

My blood pressure is just going all over the place. It was 160/90, then 140/90, then 158/99 and now 175/89; but i didn't take one so I just took another dose of losartan 25mg.
