Of course you can overdose. You can overdose on anything, if you take too much of it.
But what many people don't know is that the biggest danger in these medications that combine a narcotic with Acetaminophen is the Acetaminophen.
Long term use of it, especially in high doses, can cause liver damage or failure.
Additionally, the reason you are cautioned not to exceed a certain number of tablets in 24 hours is because it can be fatally toxic, if you take too much of it in any 24 hour period.
