Thank you for the update! I'm very glad that he's doing better!
First off thank you for your concern. First he hesitated and didn't want to go due to embarrassment and shame, but after 4 days he could take no more pain. And the swelling and redness was so severe and scary that he seen me crying and realized how afraid I was for him. The PA. at the emergency room asked him if he was willing to remain there overnight so they could run Iv's because she was afraid he could lose a limb. She had ordered blood work and a ultrasound of the vein while awaiting the attending doctors orders. It was shown at this point he had severe cellulitis due to the inj. of time released morphine 15mg. But believe it or not after everything the PA had said and diagnosed the doctor had wanted to discharge him due to the fact he only had Medicaid and he was worried the bills wouldn't be covered and they sent him home on a clindamycin 300 mg to take 4 times a day for 10 days. It has been 9 days now and it looks as it is miraculously healed almost 100% ! Although he said the ball on his ankle is very sore still. But for the most part it looks great compared to the beginning stages!!!! He says he learned his lesson and can't believe he did something so stupid, yet will absolutely never happen again!!!! Thanks again for your concern, sincerely momma!!! BEST ADVICE I CAN EVER GIVE TO ANYONE WITH EVEN A THOUGHT OF TRYING TO DO A STUNT LIKE THIS....IS DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS, YOU WILL REGRET IT POSSIBLY LOSING A LIMB OR WORSE YET YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!
Hello, Momma! How is he doing?
He needs to seek medical attention immediately. That means he's created a blockage, which acts very similar to a clot and that creates the risk of it possibly coming loose and traveling to other areas of his body, such as the heart, lungs or brain. Another risk is it cutting off blood flow and him developing necrotic tissue.
The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Is there anything else I can help with?
