What Happened To Drixoral (Top voted first)

I called Schering, the maufacturer. They are in the process of manufacturing
Drixoral again in a different facility. The spokeswomen told me the supply on the shelves has been depleted, but it will be back the first of the year 2010. So hang on...I've been taking it for 40, yes 40 years. I sorely miss it.

Do you really believe this?! Have you EVER seen a medication disappear like this with no warning? Something's up. I love Drixoral and I really miss it.

Drixoral was discontinued by the manufacturer due to loss of sales, it contained Pseudoephedrine and had to be moved behind the pharmacy counter.

A rerelease of the medication will not contain Pseudoephedrine and will likely not work as well.

I agree, I have NEVER seen a drug disappear like that. Not one word in the media either. Well the manufacturer said 2010...I'm still on it. GRRRR! Like I said I took it for 40 years. It couldn't have been too dangerous!!!!!

I have suffered for year with year round problems.........Drixoral saved me........now I have hope that it will be available again soon as nothing else comes close to working without nasty side effects.
