What Drug Causes Leg Weakness? (Top voted first)
UpdatedI take a lot of meds for chronic pain and inhalers for shorness of breath (copd). Something causes leg weakness and hip fatigue. Any guesses?

Without knowing the specific medications, it is going to be difficult for anyone to help you.
These symptoms could be caused by many different medications.
Can you please post back with more information?
Sure: meds include; hyrocodone, morphine, nuerontin, for pain. albuterol, spiriva and pulmicort inhalers for SOBreath. Also; flomax and omeprazole (prilosec).
Hard to sort out what might be causing the leg weakness, hip fatigue.
Thanks for posting back!
You should probably discuss it with your doctor to get to the root of the problem, as they would best be able to help you.
But I can tell you that it could actually be the Morphine. It's not a common or well known side effect, but in some people, it can cause swelling in the joints, which may be what's causing your symptoms.
When I was one it for pain management a few years ago, I wasn't aware of that possibility and I started having severe weakness in my left leg and hip, then the hip slowly graduated to severe pain. It got to the point where I couldn't walk without a cane. My doctor just attributed it to my condition, but it cleared up, about 2 months after I got off the Morphine and I've never needed a cane, again.
It could even be a combination of all of your medications, which is why I said you should discuss it with your doctor, but there is a good possibility that the Morphine may be the culprit.

Is there anything else I can help with?
Ok, thx! Yep, symtoms are the same, leg weakness...more in left leg and pain and fatigue in left hip. My chronic back pain also seems worse every year. Ill give it a try, see if the morph. is the culprit.
Thx for taking the time to help. Rich
