As defined by the NIH, it more specifically designates the details of the infection, it stands for Lower Respiratory Tract Infection.

Are you on an antibiotic for it? The FDA lists typical side effects of antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
