What Does Blood Test Results For Hydrocodone 46.6 Ng/ml Mean (Top voted first)

My son died with a blood level of 46.6 ng/ml in his blood system, what does this mean other than it was a high level.

Hi Cindy,

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. According to a drug toxicity chart I found here, 10-40 ng/mL is listed as a "therapeutic" blood level of Hydrocodone and anything greater than 100 ng/mL is listed as a "toxic" blood level of Hydrocodone.

I'm sure one's tolerance to opiates also plays a significant role, but it looks to me like your son wasn't that far off from what's considered to be a normal range.

Just wanted to share these details so you can at least have something else to compare to.

Cindy, you need to.take the autopsy report to your Dr and ask him to explain it. No.parent should be getting answers like this on.a public forum.
