Hello, Elsie! How are you?
Adco-Retic contains Amiloride and Hydrochlorothiazide, it is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and dehydration.
Is there anything else I can help with?
I have been on Adco-retic pills for a number of years-then last year dr changed medication to Amloc 5m,which I did not have a problem with, then about 2+mths ago changed it again to 10m,but I seem to have a big problem with this, cause now I have a kidney problem and got an appointment with a specialist even maybe treatment, legs, ankles, and hip are swelling and in pain at times,is this the side-effect from these pills,'?????i took myself off these pills and back on adco retic, cause I have an appointment with nephrologist and by doing this want to see if my kidneys count will show normal, cause I'm 52 and never had any problems with kidneys, also by changing Meds,no more swelling, just little uncomfortability in hip"but I can feel it's to weak, cause my head a times feel funny,do I maybe need another pill in conjunction with this pill, please give me some advise thanking you in advance
Will adcoretic water tablets affect hip replacement is it safe to use.
My mom is 87 and used adcoretic for longer than a year. the side-effects were devastating. She landed up in hospital twice, as apparently potassium and important nutrients are withdrawn from the system. She fainted more than once due to low blood pressure I thought she developed dementia overnight. Suddenly she could not walk. She is not using it anymore and has recovered well. Just be aware of the side-effects.
