What Can You Take If Are Allergic To Codeine And Hydrocodone? (Top voted first)

My son is allergic to both of these meds and he has been prescribed Tramadol for pain. I am unable to find if this drug is related to either and what to look for.

No, Tramadol is actually only very distantly related to narcotics, it isn't even really considered to be one. But you should double check the information to be certain.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Verwon: Tramadol (Ultram) is an OPIOID in the truest sense. (If memory serves it's an Mu-ANTAGONIST/AGONIST). tramadol is a prescribed med not over the counter that helps me too but i broke out in hives and codine and oxcodone i cant take as it has deriative of codine that what my docotr tokd me
