What Can I Take To Permanently Stop My Periods

Hi there, pls help. I have been on my periods for almost 3 months now. Most of the time they a very lite. I was fine until I started taking a 2 month contraceptive inj for prevention. I only used it twice and decided to stop since my periods were not stopping. My doctor prescribed the tranic 500 mg pills but it doesn't seem to be helping. Is the anything else that I can take?

Hello, Roxi! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having, that would be very annoying.

As to getting it to stop, it is most likely just going to take some time. Once your body adjusts to no longer using the contraceptive and rebalances your hormones on its own, it will most likely stop.

Unfortunately, bleeding like that can be a side effect of hormonal contraceptives. The FDA lists the other side effects as possibly include nausea, headache and irritability.
