I'm a 38 yr old black female and I recently decided to start a family. I was taking losartan 100mg daily, clonidine HCL 0.2mg twice daily, and hctz 25mg daily to control my blood pressure. My doctor has taken me off of the losartan and I'm concerned about my blood pressure spiking since I've stopped.

Are you still taking the other medications? If so, then it isn't likely a dangerous spike will occur, though you may still experience a slight elevation.
How often do you check your blood pressure? What have your recent readings been?
The FDA lists the typical side effects of these medications as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.
