,what About Levatol Penbutolol

Have been taking levatol 20mg for 12years , BP is still kinda high, tried olive leaf extract and it brought it down. Can I use olive leaf extract and levatol instead of changing my medication? I would really like to try this first, since it seems to work. my question is ----is it safe to take levatol (20mg) with olive leaf extract .
( for the record, I am 77yrs old and in very good health,.levatol is the only medication I have ever taken and don't want to change it,I eventually want to taper down to 3 or 4 days a week but I know that it takes time and I want to start with this first,

The main issue with adding the olive leaf extract is that it may make your blood pressure go too low, so you do need to be very careful and should only use it, if your doctor approves.

How high is your blood pressure?

Do you also watch what you eat, to avoid excess sodium? Do you get a lot of exercise? Those can both also help your blood pressure levels.

Side effects to the Levatol may include nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea and weakness. There are no known side effects to the olive leaf extract.
