I believe this is a generic of hydroxyzine/hydrochloride 10mg. It is generic for an antihistamine called Vistaril. It is used for itching, hives, nausea and other allergic reactions. Also, it is often used IV along with things like demerol or morphine as these narcotics tend to make some people itch and or get sick to their stomach. Vistaril can knock you out like a light! It made me sleep for twenty three straight hours when I was in the hospital with a lupus flare up and they gave it to me.
