I think the marking your asking about is Watson 853 and it contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Lortab, this is a narcotic pain reliever.

my husband has been taking Norco 10/325 for quite sometime. The pills are normally yellow oblong. When he got last script filled on Monday they gave him the Watson 853. He has complained of stomach upset and they aren't effective with his pain . With the yellow oblong ones he didn't seem to have these issues. Is there someway we could get them changed back to his normal pills.

Concerned, its like any med or food. If you buy the store brand green beans that are cheaper, they are still green beans, they just aren't as fresh and don't taste as good. Same with medicine, each company is different, the quality varies. Be careful asking the pharmacy about a specific brand they get kinda crazy about stuff like that. Like we are not supposed to be educated about what we take without being labelled a drug seeker. If you have a good relationship with your pharmacist go ahead and ask about the different companies, but expect them to say they are the same. For those of us who take this med, there is a noticeable difference. Good luck!
