My husband takes warfarin 5 mg. per day. He has a history before and after warfarin of being irritable. After I started giving him a 150 mg. of 5htp nightly, his attitude has been much better and he is in a lot better mood. Is there any danger of him taking 5htp along with the warfarin?

I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between them, but it is always best to let his doctor know that he's taking it, to be extra cautious.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of Warfarin as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising.
