I have read all the posts and found that the best way i found is on the 29th of aug i talked to the pharmacy manager and explained the dilemma i was facing and she told me just to transfer all my other scripts to her location and then drop off my oxy script and methadone and that they would order them for me if they were out.Bam ten days later i got a call yesterday that they had my script filled and to come pick them up.Hope this helps those having problems getting their meds filled.Good luck and god bless.

just because your still able bodied and desire to be gainfully employed doesn't grant you an exception for early filling of 2 of the most powerful narcotic opiates on the planet as you stated fentanyl and oxys....,

Retired cop....WRONG! Methadone is for pain and cannot be prescribed by a Doctor for any other reason! Such as addiction. You must go to a Methadone clinic for liquid doses of Methadone. Doctors only write for Methadone tablets. Methadone has been used for pain control since 1950, do your research.

Welder, what source is your info that us posters are being watched specifically? I really have no problem being watched or whatever, i've been on medschat for 3 or 4 years. I've not had problems with dr.s nor filling in Fl or Co or Ks for that matter.
If anything they know i don't sell nor divert, or take 2 many of my rx's. Heck ur probably right but how do you know for sure? I don't mean to offend you. I am just very curious.

VeggieChick,
First, if you don't know, factcheck our lovely Governor here in uTube pleading guilty to overcharging Medicare. He had a choice, pay 1.7 BILLION dollars, or go to Prison.
We are in FL too and I had contact who gave me or said search uTube "Gov Scott pleaded guilty, and paid such a high fine. This was taped in Judges Chambers. I'm sure you, and many others in FL will finally, I guess, get justice that our so called Governor was CAUGHT in a Federal Crime, and I guess whistle blower told on him.

Just search on uTube, the following "Governor Scott pays 1.7 Billion Dollars for overcharging Medicare"
I hope you get a kick out of it, especially how he seemed very nervous and signing papers on his guilty plea. Oh, and BTW? I have been in pain since 1977, 3/4''s of my back spine is messed up pretty bad and in hospitals 4 times, and was forced to retire because my job was probably in the 10 jobs that pay extremely well. (but very hard work)

I too now have to find a place for my meds, which is actually 5 medications because I'm a senior and need to take other stuff.I only need to change pharmacy because NOW it's affecting our food shopping. Cost I pay is outrageous and they do NOT take discount card from my Union.

I dont care about who's selling what on the streets. Whoever is OD'ing its their problem. They are adults. In the meantime I had a brittle bone disease and I suffer from bone pain constantly. Do you think the DEA cares? Do you think Walgreens cares? Do you think society cares? No, No, No. No one does. That's what drives people to self medicating. They, like myself, want relief. So they take up drinking or buying off the street. I tried to get off everything, oxycodone and fentanyl. But I couldn't function. So I got back on it but I asked my Dr to start at a lower dose. I filled hydrocodone 7.5. It wasn't helping. Days later I fractured my femur. I have rods in my upper and lower legs. People look at me like I'm lying because I still get up and go to work. Doesn't mean I'm not in pain. I enjoy being active but shame on me for not sucking on the government tit for trying to support my family. So my Dr rewrites my script twice and both times they tell me no, it's too early. The people that need the medication get brushed off but the people that don't get it given to them whether they need it or not. I used to judge Kurt Cobain for committing suicide. Until I heard what he was going through and what I suffer with.

As the saying goes: Before you judge, walk a mile in their shoes.

Most chronic pain sufferers have tried many, MANY therapies/things to help alleviate their pain - NO ONE wants to be a 'pill-popper'. Try some empathy, because until you've experienced pain so severe that you're contemplating taking your life to be rid of it, you have NO idea what you're talking about.

Walgreens corporate headquarters needs to reorganize itself. It seems to me that they are teaching their pharmacist to behave more like detectives than pharmicist. Walgreens is crossing the line in permitting their pharmicists to have so much power permitting them to take it upon themselves to deny a legitimate script because you are paying cash..or because the dr who prescribed the medication does not live close to you n the Walgreens you are taking it too.. Seriously who are these people establishing such ridiculous guidelines.. Oh now Walgreens is implying if we dont chose a dr within a certain geographical that is close to where we live they can refuse to fill our precription. People have every right to chose to go to a dr a far away as their ins will let them. there r many reasons people do this. They trust this dr more than any dr that is close to their area. Maybe the can get to be seen sooner...etc..Give me a break. If someone pays cash they can be refused. My God what has Walgreens come too. Wake up not everyone has insurance. This suggests to me that Walgreens is being extremely prejudice against those people who do not have insurance. CVS does the same thing. Do u realize how many people who do not have ins.. Obama Care...r u familiar. The problem i have is what kind of background ck are done on these pharmicist. Are the asked if they are prejudiced? Are they asked if they are compassionate? Are they empathic??? These are imp questions because people can be deny just because the color of their skin. people can be denied just because of personality conflict. Does walgreens also teach their pharmicists the imp of treating customer with respect. I was just treated like a criminal. She was indignant...she was accusing me of wishpering things to my friend which shld me this pharmicists was dillusional. Than when she starting over talking me n asking me a question i just answered using this indignant tune..than raised her voice n sd i do not lie...no one sd she was a liar.. She start raising her voice. Than she sd i will have to call the other walgreens u were at n i thought it was after 6 pm n sd i believe they r closed. Than when i tk my phone out of my pocketbook n realized it was only 5:40 i sd to her..oh im sorry u can call.. she replied...oh now i can call .....again indignant in her tone...i thought u sd it was closed...i try to explain i made a mistake in time. it was still open. she than accused me of yelling and sd i am not moving on with this conversation until i have a witness. Meanwhile there was a co worker right next to her who was ignoring her because he even knew she was out of hand. a witness to what?? wasnt her co worker good enough???. I am a grown woman..58 yrs old.. and some of rhe pharmacist that are hired by Walgreens are incompetant n certaintly paranoid. Walgreens needs to focus more on the people they hire.. Dont harrass us becaused you have employees who were caught stealing narcotics. Walgreens needs to realize it is the people that keep them in business. without us u have nothing. Walgreens needs to be boycotted. They are a disgrace.

I had one refuse too. Those were her exact words, "I don't feel comfortable filling this". And...she didn't fill it either.

Walgreens gives their pharmacists the right to deny (AND FLAG) any script if the PHARMACISTS feel the patient doesn't need it.

Not kidding, I was told this by Walgreens customer service when I called to report the pharmacist that denied filling my script. I had always gone to Rite Aid and wanted to switch because I had moved and Walgreens was closer. The pharmacist said "I don't think you need this medicine (Percocet 5/325)". I said EXCUSE ME do you have my medical records, mri films and cat scans? Or do you have X-ray eyes to see what is and isn't wrong with me? He just shrugged, typed something and handed me back my script from my primary care doc.

So I go to the Walgreens closest to my old apartment (because I had been a previous patient there) and she told me he had flagged the script so no Walgreen would fill it. I ended up having to drive to Rite Aid (the pharmacy I was currently using) which was more than 5 miles from my new apartment to get my script filled.

This was back in October. NOW Rite Aid tells me Walgreens just bought them out and my rite aid is turning into a Walgreens! I am so pissed right now. They had better keep my pharmacist on. I shouldn't have to deal with this, I'm prescribed this medicine, it's from my primary Doctor, it's been prescribed for over a year and now I may have problems filling it because Walgreen gives their pharmacists permission to be "doctors" to people they know nothing about! I despise this company.

This is not true. DEA and Board of Pharmacy gives you the right to refuse to fill prescriptions if they are questionable. Too many doctors write 5 or 6 prescriptions for all control drugs. 120 Oxycodone 30mg for pain and 120 oxycodone 15mg for breakthrough pain. Then Soma, Xanax, etc. No pharmacist in their right mind will fill all controls for 1 patient.

THIS IS TO WENEEDEXERCISE :
You have a HELL of a lot of nerve. WHO the F*** are you to chastise anyone here for being in pain?? Obviously YOU ARE NOT!! My guess is that you are a pharmacist or a pharm tech and you don't like the bashing you are getting here. All said,....everyone posting here is telling of their problems dealing with pharmacies and getting their prescriptions filled. That is the purpose of this message base. If you DON't like what you are reading here ,...GET the HELL out of here!! I am here just reading everything trying to find a solution to the same problem after spending the day riding from pharmacy to pharmacy with the same problem. I don't like spending my time like this much less living in pain. BUT what I REALLY want to say to you is the fact that many here, like myself have already been the route that you suggest and are prescribed these drugs by responsible Dr.s for legitimate reasons but most of ALL, like myself are UNABLE to barely move much less "exercise" as you suggest.
I had a pool put in to help with that years ago. Today I can't even use it for that because it is too hard for me to keep clean in order to use it.
Screw it, son,....I learned a long time ago that you can't talk reason to an unreasonable person. You just better hope and pray that you are never in pain because you will change your tune, I'm sure. I can also tell that you are just a young punk, a "know it all',....well, you won't be that way for long because with age comes wisdom,..oops! that's only for reasonable people, of which you are NOT!! Go away,...

Me and two of my family members suffer the inability to have our scripts filled. All three of us have debilitating circumstances which require Oxy and Somas. My name is Dennis and we need desperately to find a pharmacy who will take all of our scripts. Please, can you relay this information to us? It means everything to us. Please, the sooner the better. This will be a tremendous help to all of us.

Hi. I have found Drs and the one pharmacy that fills my script of 120 x 30mg oxycontin. They're a great pharmacy. I was injured on the job and have to deal with chronic pain myself. Please write back and I will share that info. Good luck.

I think any pharmacist who refuses to fill pain meds is because they're addicted! Or they need it to sell! I think half of the young smart asses are street pharmacists as well, except my son n law!!! He is the Best!!!
