Vistaril, Norco, Imitrex

I take vistaril as needed between my imatrex for chronic migraines. I have now broken my wrist and have to wait to see a ortho surg. To get it set and have been given Norco for the pain. The pain and lack of sleep is triggering my migraines. Can I take imatRex and/or vistaril with the norco?

The main concern here is the Norco with the Vistaril, since they can both increase sedation and, if you aren't used to it, it could be too much for you. Thus, you shouldn't mix those, unless your doctor approves. However, I did not find any problems taking the Imitrex with the Norco, so that should be fine, as long as your doctor approves.

The FDA classifies Norco as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
