I got my prescription filled at the same pharmacy, etc. they switched from Sandoz to qualitest and I've developed a horrible body odor. I know it's from the drug as absolutely nothing else has changed, (soap, lotion, diet, etc) and I had the same thing happen once when I tried a certain brand of diet shake. as soon as I stopped using it, the odor went away. not sure what I can do with the 90 day supply or how I can get the Sandoz now.
Reilly - eat yogurts 3 a day and 2 apples. Also get a big bag of dried apricots at the health food store and munch.
Water, water, water!
Also try milk thistle extract from health food store. It'll help some. Good luck.
@Reilly,
If other brands don't cause an odor, it sounds like they could just be using some sort of binder/filler that's not getting properly absorbed or metabolized by your system.
I think Sara made some great suggestions with drinking plenty of water, milk thistle extract, fruit, and pro-biotics that are found in yogurt to aid your body in several ways. Milk thistle is also great for a liver detox and should help flush out any toxins left behind that might be attributing to the odor. Although a total body detox/cleanse (along with routine exercise) may also be appropriate if you've been taking this brand for a long time and want to get it out of your body sooner.
Have you talked with your doctor about any of the complications you've been having with that particular brand?
I drink tons of water, exercise, and have been taking the Sandoz brand for a while with no problems.
Reilly. Qualitest at IS slightly different. They're Norco is the only one I can take without horrible side effects.
But the liver detoxing MAY help. It's just a suggestion. Apple pectin clears out odor.
Apricots sweeten your body odor for everyone.
Since you're stuck with them, it's worth a shot, right?
yes, I will give the apple pectin and apricots a shot. I've talked with the pharmacist who's trying to get the non-generic but so far no luck.
Funny thing is I can take the Sandoz or Qualitest valsartan hctz, but the Aurobindo one is making me ill and not working as well.
You should notify the FDA for adverse side effects. Drugs manufactured in India do not follow our safety standards and you should look for meds made in North America, UK, Ireland. Report your side affects for Aroobundio medications. They have lots of recalls on Indian mfg. products
