Valparin Side Effect On Children (Top voted first)

My son is now 11 years old. When he was at 1.5 years old epilepsy attack (6 times) till his 8 years. Doctor advised to take Valparin 200, but some doctors advised us not to take valparin continuously that will affect any side effect on eyes. Now his eye sight -2.75 on left eye and -2.5 on his right eye. Please advise me any chance to reduce his eye sight or any other side effects to be happened in future? Your valuable reply will be highly appreciated.

Now my son is o.k. and he consulted an Eye Specialist in Mumbai (Vasan Eye Care), now he wearing glass with power (left 3.5 and 3.25 right) These nos founded by Vaasan Eye Care. Sir, Last 3 years he has not taking Valparin. Any chance to come again the side effect of valparin to my son eye sight? Vaasan Doctor said to wear continuously and eat vegetables, carrot and check-up every six months. May or may not be possible to increase the eye sight but no chance to reduce the eyesight. Is it true Sir,. please advise me and awaiting to your reply.

Hello, Rajan! How is your son?

And yes, if it has damaged his sight, that damage could continue.

Have you consulted his doctor about this? There may be a different medication that he could take.
