What medication can I take with valacyclovir to help with nausea and vomiting?

Are you on a short-term dosage to deal with an outbreak, or do you take it regularly as a preventative?

For short-term use of higher doses, there likely isn't much that will help, though your doctor may be able to prescribe something for nausea.

However, if you're taking it long-term for prevention, then you may do better switching to either Acyclovir or Famcyclovir to see if they cause you less issues.

Thankyou for your response. I had an outbreak on my mouth a month and a half a go and then 3 more over the next 2 weeks, then a week after that i got them in my nose. Last week i woke up thinking something had scratched my eyeand went to the doc and he said i had a blister in my eye and put me on 3 500mg a day for ten days and then i go in to check up and he said he will lower my dose then . Do you think promethazine would help?
