I am prescribed glycomet 500 for weight loss as i am a pcod patient. Is it that if i leave taking this medicne , i will put on weight? I am told to take it for 1 month in d morning

This medication can be used to aid in weight loss, especially in people with PCOD, since it helps their body make better use of insulin, but yes, there is a risk of gaining weight back, when you stop taking it, if you don't maintain a healthy diet and get plenty of exercise.

The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, flatulence, stomach pain, and hypoglycemia.
