Used To Take Ms Contin 100mg And 10/325 Percocet 6x A Day.

Now I've switched to Oxycodone 80mg, q12 healing with 10/325 percocet 6x a day. THE OXY is NOT HOLDING Me-- in 5 Hrs I'm in Pain - 6 bad pain- by 8hrs I am crying. I have many chronic pain issues. HELP!! What WILL HELP so I can function and possibly return to work?

Hello, Lilly! How are you doing? I am very sorry that you're in so much pain. Unfortunately, not every medication works for everyone that tries it.

Have you ever used Fentanyl, yet? It is the most potent opiate available, so it may help you.

The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Talk to your dt about you trying oxymorphone(opana) it's stronger than percocet

There are far better pharmaceutical options then Opana when used concurrently with oxycodone preparations. It's always best to have your treating prescriber decide what options would be optimal.

Yes i feel ya. Have your dr. Give you 100 mg of fetynal patch this will give you consistant pain med. And use the oxy for what they call break out pain. Thats when its the worst but having the continus fetinyl will help. It worked for me. But you mite need a natural laxitive cuz it will bind you which constipation is not helping you eather. Plus you mite want to think of other methods. Like heat, stretching ect. Also with the meds.

First of all it must be oxycotin 80mg ER cause oxycodone highest strength is 30mg IR. Second thing is MS Contin 100mg is strong in my opinion and is better than the 80MG OP Oxycotin! And I don't know why your only taking a Percocet 10/325 when you should try the 30mg oxycodone IR for break-thru pain try going back to your 100mg MS or even get that bumped up a little bit to jelp the pain.
BUT DO NOT GET ON FENENTAL THAT IS LAST RESORT PAIN MED CAUSE AFTER THAT THE IT'S NOTHING STRONGER AND IS THE WORST TO WITHDRAW FROM SO... try some different combos before getting to the patch. Also try Oxymorphone 20mg ER their great and help me soooo much but it has to be written as Oxymorphone not OPANA and if you get lucky and get the ACTIVIS BRAND you'll notice how good they work but even if you get Globals I think you'll like them.
