Use Of Wysolone Tablet For Kids (Top voted first)

My Child 7yrs old has Albamin 4 + in Urine and the doctor advised to give Wysolon 40mg per day in the morning for 10 days and later the dosage will be reduced. Will there be any side effects for this. What are the precautions to take to reduce the side effects?

Hi my daughter 3 yrs old have minimal change disease observed in last 5 days,doctor recommend wysolone tab 10 mg for 6 weeks 2 times with gelusil syrup 5 ml and then dose decreased with alternate days , it is having side effects to take such long treatment..???

Wysolone contains the active ingredient Prednisolone, which is a steroid class medication. Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, fluid retention, weight changes, moodiness and irritability.

There's really nothing you can do to minimize them, other than making sure he takes it with food, if the doctor approves it.

After one week of treatment, the Albumin content became nil. According to the doctor, once we started to give Steroids & also to avoid the recurring of infection, it needs to be stopped by reducing the dosage. Now it is reduced to 25mg on alternative days. This is to be continued up to 12 weeks by reducing the dosage.

My son takes more food than earlier now.
