My periods are always late, so I took penorit and after taking it my periods started coming within 5 days. However, this time, even after six days it has not come and I took again and still after passing 5 days my periods have not started. How many days it will take to bring back my periods? Please tell.

Hi Sam,

Sorry to hear about your irregular periods. I hope that you've been able to overcome this obstacle since you last posted in May of 2014, as it is now exactly 4 years later in May 2018. Concerning how many days it will take to bring back your periods, this is genetically & biochemically different for every woman based on a wide variety of internal and external influencing factors. Therefore, there is no approximate date that even a doctor or gynecologist can give you. I would just encourage you to not be concerned about the timing so much as your own inherent health and wellbeing. Because once you ensure that you have your health taken care of in every which way, focusing solely on that which is within your own immediate control, then balanced hormones should follow suit. This includes limiting external stressors, eating a healthy diet, getting plenty of rest each night & exercising regularly. You may already be doing these things, but I say this because many people overlook the importance of them and how they can influence our body's natural sense of equilibrium or our internal clock so to speak. Your clock isn't broken, you just have to adjust the time on it and I get the sense that it will adjust itself for you when everything else is in place, healthwise. This is all just my own opinion. Your best bet may be to seek additional feedback from a licensed practitioner.
