Usage And Side Effects Of Lignocaine Hydrochloride Gel

For my electric shock like pain in my leg the doctor prescribed this lignocaine hydrochloride gel. Plz tell me its positive and negative effects. Is it safe to use?

It is a topical pain reliever, so yes, it may help. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including skin redness, dryness, irritation, and numbness.

Do have any idea what's caused the pain? That sounds like it may be nerve related.
