UpdatedI am currently uninsured, and with the help of an attorney, am trying to get disability benefits. I am in chronic pain (over 20 years) and currently going to methadone clinic. I started at clinic 6 years ago when my regular Dr. moved out of state. He was prescribing me duragesic 75. The methadone clinic is expensive and is no longer controlling the pain. I have fairly recent mri's. Ruptured and herniated discs. and am looking for a pain management Dr. that takes uninsured patients. My disability claim was denied and is currently being appealed mainly due to the fact that my pain med is prescribed under drug dependence guidelines (not pain management). I would appreciate any help finding an appropriate pain management Dr. in the Melbourne, Fl. area.
